Thermal Performance

Fire Safety

Silica aerogel achieves A1 non-combustible classification under European standards, making it one of the safest insulation materials available. Many traditional foam-based insulations are combustible and require additional fire barriers, adding cost and complexity.

Moisture Management

Unlike many traditional materials that absorb water and lose their insulating properties, aerogel insulation is inherently hydrophobic. It repels liquid water while remaining vapor-permeable, which prevents moisture buildup and corrosion under insulation (CUI).
